Meet Chef Arnaldo Posadas - Alpha Delta Pi at Illinois

Chef Arnaldo has been cooking for as long as he can remember. “I would see [chefs] cut so fast and think: How can I do that without cutting a finger?! This is amazing! How do you do this?” he says, explaining his childhood thoughts. His exposure to the food industry began at about twelve years old when he began selling sweet tapioca drinks in the Philippines. He moved to America in his early teenage years and later finished his vocational schooling in Chicago, Illinois. He furthered his graduate education at the CIA. No, not that CIA, the Culinary Institute of America, at least that what he told us.

We would like to introduce you to Chef Jason Buchannan! Jason is a four year veteran with College Chefs and a living legend within the Sigma Sigma Sigma chapter at Western Illinois University. He has been a pinnacle of reliability for the sorority and for College Chefs.  He has helped the company pursue it's goal of providing ridiculously good food to fraternities & sororities -- and in turn has been able to pursue his own passions in life.

Meet Chef Brian Dulany - Chef for the Men of Fiji Fraternity at Mizzou

It seems unlikely that a self proclaimed music-geek would make a career as a chef. But, for the guys at Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) fraternity at Mizzou, Chef Brian is a match made in heaven. His taste in food is as varied as his taste in music. He enjoys trying new things. This sense of culinary adventure is apparent in the food he serves, like duck burgers, for example. Allowing young men to expand their horizons and try new things is a major passion of Brian’s.

Meet Chef Eichele Shafer - Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Texas A&M

Growing up on a dairy farm in Waller, a small town in big Texas, Chef Eichele knows first hand what life is like as a farm kid. “I have memories on the farm with my brother unloading bags of feed that were the size of us!” Her grandpa sold milk to Bluebell Ice Cream company and her grandma cooked all the time and cooked well. Growing up watching her grandmother and her mom cook inspired her. This inspiration lead her to the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Denver. The university opened up the potential she had within herself.  Now the Chef for the women at the Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Texas A&M, Chef Eichele has found a great avenue to please her customers and satisfy her own passion for food.

College Chefs presents Teddy the Turkey at the 2015 McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade

While most of the Chefs on College Chefs team are busy sleeping in and enjoying Thanksgiving with their families, a small group of volunteers will be guiding Teddy the Turkey down the streets of Chicago in celebration of America's greatest holiday centered around turkey and family.  Fraternity & sorority students alike may be missing College Chefs' Ridiculously Good Food but also enjoying some time off over this wonderful Fall holiday.  Check out College Chefs' Facebook page on Thanksgiving Day to see some of the amazing turkey dishes our chefs have served around the country as the leader in fraternity & sorority dining.

College Chefs' Snacks

College Chefs' Snacks

College Chefs is excited to introduce a new line of snacks that will be implemented into select chapters starting November 2015.  Eventually, all fraternities & sororities that have College Chefs Gold/Platinum snack packages will have access to the snack line.  Starting out, the snack line will be available in only select fraternities & sororities, so that further information can be had as to what chapters like, dislike, etc.  

The College Chefs snacks are designed to be a balance of being reasonably healthy and appealing to the individual that has a craving for something salty or sweet.  They are packaged in small, 1-1.5oz packages and the pricing for each unit is competitive with other common snack offerings in the market -- they are perfect for the fraternity or sorority member that is on the go!
