Moscow, ID - April. 21, 2015 – With nearly $12,000 dollars raised from philanthropy events held last year, the sisters of Delta Delta Delta at the University of Idaho are back for their third year hosting the Tri-Hop event benefiting the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Tri-Hop event which takes place April 29th, 2015, from 8PM to 12AM, at the Delta Delta Delta house (609 Elm St., Moscow, ID) will include all-you-can-eat pancakes for just $5 dollars.
Delta Delta Delta (aka Tri Delta) officially claimed St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner in 1999, since then Tri Delta chapters across the country have raised awareness and more than $31M benefiting the children of St. Jude and their families. On a national scale, the Tri Delts announced in 2014, a 10-year, $60M fundraising commitment, which is the single largest fundraising commitment in St. Jude’s history.
Ashley Taylor, Philanthropy Chair for the Tri Delta chapter at University of Idaho says, “The event is positive in an upbeat environment. There will be music, photo booths, and breakfast foods available… Last year was really fun and we got the chance to raise money and spread awareness! This year we are hoping for a great turnout and a good time !”
In addition to raising money, the sorority is receiving in-kind donations from their food service provider, College Chefs LLC. Founded by Kevin Gadus, a chef himself, College Chefs is a national company that employs classically trained chefs and provides food service for fraternities & sororities around the country.
Everyone is welcome and no ticket or pre-registration is necessary. $5 dollars gets you unlimited pancakes (and other sorts of breakfast foods). The event will be held outside the Tri Delta sorority house located on the University of Idaho’s campus at 609 Elm Street. Cash and most major credit cards will be accepted.
